Description:

We meet at 8:00 AM at the Wye Park for a morning birding walk through the island's inland bird habitat and we also observe the surrounding Yakima Delta and Columbia River for waterfowl.

All birders are invited, especially those who wish to expand their birding knowledge by accompanying experienced birders. Average sightings for these walks are 30 to 40 species.

This educational and inspiring walk is full of interesting wildlife and little local history. Make sure to bring water, sturdy shoes, binoculars, and appropriate clothing. Birding guides are helpful.
